Front cover & DPS photoshoot plan
For my front cover and DPS, I intend to have a class mate wear cricket gear, while he is wearing this he will stand in a cricket stance. I'm doing this as it will attract sports fans and particularly cricket fans. I'm doing this also because my article will be about cricket.
It will also include other sports like Football, American football and Tennis. This is because it will appeal to a wider sports audience and will make the magazine more entertaining and desirable.
After further consideration I decided that my model would instead hold an American Football and wear and American Football hat. The magazines features other sports so it still gets the attention of a wider football fan.
My model will also be wearing casual clothing. This is my attempt to connect with the audience and show that this sporting star is just like you and me. I feel that it will also make the audience more comfortable with the star.
On the front cover my model will be using indirect address while holding the ball. This shows that he is looking at a receiver downfield something that fans of the American Football sport will understand. Whereas in the double page spread the model will using direct address to show the article and DPS is more personal towards him and show that he is connecting with the audience.
